FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Personalized items are not new, but they
almost always are a top choice among gift recipients. Tucson’s
Facetime Art has just opened its "Pet Portrait" selection. The
portraits are unique and offer a one-of-a-kind take on the
traditional pet portrait painting.
"I love abstracts and
while abstract pet portraits aren't exactly appropriate for most
owners, they like that I take a little different view and don't
create the typical exact pet portrait," says artist K. Rishay
Moehr.
According to the 2011-2012 American Pet Product
Association (APPA) National Pet Owners Survey, 62% of U.S.
households own a pet, which equates to 72.9 million homes.
According to the APPA survey, pet owners spent approximately
50.84 billion dollars in 2011, up from 48.35 billion in 2010.
"Pet owners are always going to want to have the best
for their pets and that includes a portrait of their treasured
family member," says K. Rishay. "I'm sure they'd rather have
that than another ugly tie or set of bath powders. I know I
would!"
